That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.

Nikro Coil Cleaning: The Long Beach Owner’s Guide

If you’re running a Nikro negative-air machine or coil cleaning setup in Long Beach and the coil brush head, hose, or pump has failed, we stock the replacement parts and install them for $145 to $385 depending on your model and what actually wore out. Most Long Beach calls are same-week, not same-day, because we schedule a specific arrival window and show up inside it. The usual story we hear: the machine runs but suction drops, the coil brush stops spinning under load, or the chemical feed line starts dripping instead of spraying.

Call (562) 548-7365

Nikro builds coil cleaning tools that take real abuse in Long Beach’s salt air and hard water. When a seal dries out or a bearing lets go, the machine tells you before it quits. We’d rather you catch it early than run a half-working pump across a condenser coil and wonder why the fins aren’t coming clean. Call (562) 548-7365 and we’ll match your part to the model without a callback runaround.

Which Nikro Models This Applies To

Nikro’s coil cleaning line is narrower than people expect. The parts we commonly replace fit the Nikro CC-100 and CC-200 series coil cleaning carts, plus the pump-and-wand kits that pair with Nikro negative-air machines used for evaporator coil work in Long Beach homes and light commercial kitchens. Before you buy anything, check the model plate on the cart frame or the pump housing. It’s a metal tag, usually riveted, and the model number starts with CC followed by three digits. If the tag is gone, measure the pump inlet: 3/8-inch NPT threads mark the older CC-100 series, while the CC-200 and later units run 1/2-inch NPT with a quick-connect wand fitting.

The compatibility gotcha with Nikro is the wand-to-hose coupling. Early CC-100 units use a proprietary brass swivel that Nikro changed in 2012. Aftermarket “universal” wands sold at hardware stores thread on but leak under the 40 to 60 PSI the pump delivers, and that leak eats the pump seal within a few months. We stock genuine Nikro couplings and the better aftermarket equivalent, made by the same Midwest machine shop that built Nikro’s original run. You’ll pay $45 to $75 for a quality coupling either way. The $19 imports are false economy on a machine you rely on when a Long Beach coil is caked with salt and cottonwood.

Signs Your Nikro Coil Cleaning Is Failing

  • Pump runs but pressure drops below 30 PSI on the gauge. This means the internal bypass valve is worn or the pump vanes are scored. Hosing down a coil at low pressure leaves soap residue in the fins, and that residue bakes on. We replace the vane kit or the whole pump head, usually in under an hour.
  • Wand drips instead of sprays with a full tank. The o-ring on the trigger valve has flattened from chemical exposure, or the nylon tip has cracked from being dropped on concrete. It’s a $12 to $30 part on our truck.
  • Coil brush head stalls when you press it against the coil. The drive bearing in the brush hub is seizing. You feel the motor strain and hear a lower note. If you keep running it, the brush shaft wobbles and the bearing seat gets wallowed out, which turns a bearing swap into a hub replacement.
  • Chemical solution backs up into the pressure line when you release the trigger. The check valve behind the quick-connect is stuck open. This lets coil cleaner drain back toward the pump, where it eats the housing gasket over time. We fix the valve and the gasket at the same call, because once one fails the other is weeks behind it.
  • The machine trips a GFCI outlet on startup. Long Beach garages and carports run on GFCI circuits, and a pump that’s starting to draw high amperage will trip them faster than a regular breaker. It’s usually a failing start capacitor, not the pump motor. We test the draw before swapping parts so you’re not paying for guesses.

None of these are signs the machine is dead. Most are under an hour of work with a part from our truck. But ignoring a weak pump or a dripping wand turns a small fix into a full pump replacement, and that’s the difference between $95 and $385 around Long Beach.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s what coil cleaning parts and labor cost in Long Beach through us, written before we touch anything:

  • Trigger valve o-ring and wand tip: $35 to $65 installed
  • Check valve replacement: $55 to $85 installed
  • Pump vane kit and seal: $95 to $145 installed
  • Complete pump head replacement: $210 to $290 installed
  • Brush head bearing or full hub replacement: $55 to $120 installed
  • Hose and coupling replacement (full run): $145 to $200 installed

The range depends on whether your Nikro is the older CC-100 or the newer CC-200 series, and whether the part that failed caused collateral damage. We write the price before work starts and it does not move. Every repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the part we installed fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge. That’s not a verbal promise, it’s in writing on your invoice.

DIY or Call Us?

You can check the obvious things without opening the pump: is the tank full, is the line kinked, is the nozzle tip cracked, is the cord smoking. Those checks cost you nothing. Opening the pump housing is where DIY goes sideways. Nikro pumps run 40 to 60 PSI, and the pump head bolts also hold the pressure plate. If you loosen them in the wrong order while the system still holds pressure, the plate can pop loose and the chemical spray goes somewhere you don’t want it. The fluid in that tank is coil cleaner, not water. That’s a face-and-eye risk we take seriously.

If you’ve already opened it and now you have a bag of parts and a machine that leaks, bring it in. We’ll piece it back together, replace what’s actually broken, and show you where the first repair went wrong. Call (562) 548-7365 and tell Roy or the crew what model tag you’re looking at. We’ll tell you over the phone whether it’s a truck-stock part or something we need to order, and what the installed price will be before you bring it anywhere.
