That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Meet the Long Beach Team Behind Hollis Air Duct Long Beach
We’re a Long Beach crew, through and through. Some of us grew up here, others landed here and never left. What binds us isn’t a uniform or a slogan. It’s a shared intolerance for half-done work. Every tech on this team has crawled through Long Beach attics in August, which means we all know exactly how much dust, heat, and bad ductwork a house can hold. We answer to Roy Castellanos, and Roy answers to one standard: the job gets done right the first time, or we come back and do it again on our dime.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Miguel S., Lead Technician
Miguel has been running duct jobs in Long Beach for over a decade, and he’s the guy we send when a system hasn’t been touched since the Reagan administration. He’s NADCA-certified and runs our Rotobrush rotary brush system and Nikro negative-air machines more days than not. Miguel is the one who’ll walk you through what he found before and after, usually with photos on his phone and zero drama attached. When he’s not in a crawlspace, he’s fishing off Belmont Pier and swearing the halibut are getting smarter.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana handles the sealing side of the business, which means she’s the person who actually makes your ducts hold air the way they’re supposed to. Duct sealing is detail work. Mastic has to be applied right, gaps have to be found before they get filled, and Dana has the patience for all of it. She’s been with Hollis for eight years and has seen just about every failure mode a Long Beach HVAC system can produce, from salt air eating at metal runs to homeowners who tried duct tape and hoped for the best. She grows orchids, which tells you everything about her tolerance for slow, precise work.
Patty K., Service Coordinator
Patty is the voice on the phone, and she’s been doing dispatch for service crews longer than some of our techs have been alive. She knows the Long Beach map cold, from the traffic patterns on Pacific Coast Highway to the parking quirks in Bixby Knolls. Patty schedules every job with real drive-time in mind, so the window we give you is actually the window we make. She’s also the one who confirms every price in writing before a tech rolls out, no exceptions. If you call at seven in the morning or nine at night, Patty’s the live person who answers. No bots, no voicemail maze.
Chris T., Apprentice Technician
Chris joined the crew two years ago after a stint doing residential construction in Signal Hill, and Roy stuck him with Miguel on day one. The rule in this shop: apprentices don’t touch a customer’s system alone until they’ve logged enough supervised hours to be trusted with it. Chris is already running the negative-air setup on his own and learning the rotary brush technique on our commercial jobs. He contributes one major thing besides strong shoulders: a running mental catalog of the weirdest objects ever pulled from Long Beach vents. The collection includes a Nintendo cartridge, a lizard skeleton, and most of a disco ball.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Hollis location operates under The Garrison Code, and that’s not a poster on a wall. It’s four rules we follow on every single job in Long Beach: arrive inside the window we quoted, put the price in writing before any work starts, complete the job by the book, and leave the site clean enough that you’d never know we were there except for the air and the invoice. Roy Castellanos enforces it, but the crew buys into it because we’ve all worked places where that code didn’t exist. The 365-Day Done Right Promise sits behind all of it. If a repair fails within a year, we return and make it right at no charge. That includes a free second visit, not because it’s negotiated, but because it’s written down before we ever start.
